Love Shack owner John Cornetta has submitted an Ante Litem Notice to the City of Johns Creek for $688,000.
Cornetta’s attorney Cary S. Wiggins sent notice to Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker proclaiming lost profits. In his letter, Wiggins alleged that the city wrongfully denied a sign permit for the Love Shack; therefore, alleging the store lost $65,000 - $75,000 in monthly profits from October 2007. (more…)

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The city of Johns Creek has sent retail outlet the Love Shack a letter of intent to deny its 2008 business license. The letter was hand-delivered by Code Enforcement Office Reginald Miller April 10.
Love Shack responded on April 16 with an ante litem notice to Johns Creek, requesting compensation for lost profits and offering to settle for a payment of $668,000 and the issuance of a sign and banner permit. (more…)

In a written order issued Thursday, a Fulton Superior Court judge told the owner of an adult video chain that he may not operate a sexually oriented business at its current Johns Creek location, and that he must have a regular business license or close his store.

The owner of an adult-themed retail chain is suing the city of Johns Creek – again – this time because the city has refused to allow him to erect a sign.
John Cornetta, owner of the Love Shack, filed suit in Fulton Superior Court on Nov. 15 saying city staff and the city Board of Zoning Appeals improperly denied him the right to put up a sign at his adult emporium in the heart of Johns Creek. (more…)

AWell it seems that the mayor Mike Bodker has refused John Cornetta’s donation to help build a fire department, he further refused to participate in the dunk tank to raise money for said fire department.
Well John Cornetta simply took that as a challenge saying that he will put his donation with more donations and fund raising and he will get John’s Creek a Fire Department if he has to buy the truck and man it with volunteers. (more…)

MACON, Ga. - A local strip club which was forced to shutter its doors by the county has filed a petition to argue its case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. - Love Shack owner John Cornetta is in the news again, raising funds to aid victims of a recent fire in the community that has spent $150,000 to shut his business down.
Cornetta plans to donate 1% of June sales income from his five stores and 2% of June sales from his controversial Johns Creek store to assist in the development of a fire department in Johns Creek. (more…)

The city of Johns Creek filed a petition Friday in Fulton County Superior Court to force the owner of the Love Shack to close or comply with city laws.
The court pleading alleges that the Love Shack is in violation of several city ordinances, such as operating without a business license or a sexually oriented business license and being too close to residential areas and businesses selling alcohol. (more…)
