Love Shack, Johns Creek squabble over profit, zoning

The city of Johns Creek and the Love Shack traded more salvos this week.
At stake is big pot of money and whether the adult novelty retail shop can remain open.
On Wednesday, Love Shack owner John Cornetta notified the city that it owes him $665,000 in lost profits because Johns Creek for months hasn’t allowed the store to put up a sign. (more…)

cornetta globe    In a written order issued Thursday, a Fulton Superior Court judge told the owner of an adult video chain that he may not operate a sexually oriented business at its current Johns Creek location, and that he must have a regular business license or close his store.

Love Shack owner sues city to get a sign

The owner of an adult-themed retail chain is suing the city of Johns Creek – again – this time because the city has refused to allow him to erect a sign.

John Cornetta, owner of the Love Shack, filed suit in Fulton Superior Court on Nov. 15 saying city staff and the city Board of Zoning Appeals improperly denied him the right to put up a sign at his adult emporium in the heart of Johns Creek. (more…)
