TJohn Cornetta got mad one day as he read about how two people perished in a fire in Johns Creek on the same day that Mayor Mike Bodker celebrated the opening of the Johns Creek City Hall and his new office, yet the city still did not have basic police and fire services.

So Cornetta decided to start a charitable organization, The Cornetta Charitable Foundation, a 5013c to raise money for the victims and for the city to buy a fire truck. He did so and the family of both victims happily accepted the money that was raised.

However it did not come without flack as even the Chief of the Fulton Fire Department jumped in attacking Cornetta and saying that Cornetta’s money wasn’t wanted.

Cornetta shot back vowing..."I have been arrested, threatened and my faith questioned in service of the Constitution of the United States of America," he responded in another e-mail sent to media outlets. "And by God I will die if necessary to defend and uphold her and by God I will raise and donate this money and you, sir, have absolutely no say in it whatsoever."

When Cornetta sent the part of the proceeds allocated to the city, the Mayor turned up his nose and refused the money. But the money and the letter came with a challenge.

Cornetta challenged Mayor Bodker to a contest where both men would sit in a dunking tank and any citizen could donate $20 for three balls and throw them at whomever they disliked most. The loser would also have to donate an additional, personal $1,000 to charity. Cornetta added that if the mayor refused, that Cornetta would just hire a look-alike stand in and “the games would go one anyway.”

Again Cornetta stayed true to his word and asked adult industry veteran Mike South to stand in for Bodker.

“ I have known Mike for several years and if you look real close Mike and Mike actually do resemble one another, if only Mike South would shave once and a while and I have never seen him wear a tie,” Cornetta quipped.

Since Cornetta sent the monetary donation to the city a couple of twists have turned this event into the “John Cornetta vs. Mike Bodker / now Mike South as stand-in double show”, and the dunk tank will be replaced with a machine that dumps Jell-O on the loser’s head.

The event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 15 from noon – 4 pm in the parking lot of the Love Shack in Johns Creek at 10950 State Bridge Road.

“We’ve had a couple of changes, but the end goal still remains the same, to raise money for the City of Johns Creek to protect all citizens, even the ones the Mayor doesn’t like,” said Cornetta, owner of the 10,000 square foot Love Shack in Johns Creek.

“When this challenge was issued months ago to Mayor Mike Bodker we planned on doing this contest in a dunk tank in the cold of December. With the recent ongoing drought we’ve decided to change it from a water dunk contest to a Jell-O dunk contest.”

Fans and non-fans of Cornetta and Mayor Bodker will have the opportunity to purchase three softballs for $20 to throw at either of the two. All money generated will be donated to the Cornetta Charitable Foundation www.tccfusa.com and earmarked to be donated to the City of Johns Creek to assist in the development of civil services.

The chairman of the Board of Advisers for the CCF, Pastor Michael Cole of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill, www.mycathedral.org will have final say so over where the money goes if the city of Johns Creek should once again reject the money.

Mike South will be coming out dressed in his finest suit to play the part of Bodker. Additionally, he will be bringing out a bevy of his beautiful starlets to entertain the crowd.

Whoever has the most softballs thrown at them will also make a personal donation of $1,000 to the City of Johns Creek. Since Mayor Bodker has declined the offer to participate, Cornetta will be making the $1,000 donation whether he is dunked the most or his stand-in competitor.

“Despite the differences between Bodker and myself, on behalf of the Cornetta Charitable Foundation (CCF), we have already attempted to donate nearly $3,000 to the City of Johns Creek.”

"It'll be millions," Cornetta said. "When I win this case, that store is going to be the No. 1 store in the country."
